Why attend #MHD2025?

Mississippi Health Disparities (MHD) is an annual health disparities conference. Hosted by the Mississippi IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence, MHD was founded in 2021. Our mission is to eliminate health disparities in Mississippi and create healthier, more equitable communities. MHD is the premiere conference for health professionals in Mississippi to meet and share knowledge on a variety of topics concerning health disparities.

Conference History
Started as a single session in MS INBRE Conference in 2018
Grew to a track in 2019, MS IDeA Conference
2020 – COVID stopped everything
August 2021 – MHD was born and came back without MS IDeA
July 2022 – MHD continued as part of MS IDeA/EPSCoR Conference
July 2023 – MHD continued as part of MS IDeA/EPSCoR Conference
June 2024 – 1st year MHD will be a standalone event!
June 2025 – MHD partners with Empowering Communities for a Healthy Mississippi!
